I didn't even plan to do a nursery for my 10-pound Sawyer, my second born, but as a last hoorah (read: 32 weeks) I thought, what the heck! Let's go for it. I would sit in my baby Marlowe's room for an hour at times, rocking her in my belly, wondering how she would sound and how she would feel and how I would love her beyond existence. When I welcomed my own babies, I distinctly remember how engulfed I became in designing and decorating their nurseries. My job as a Houston newborn photographer is to make the not so pretty, the not so finished, and the not so magazine worthy homes LOOK pretty, finished, and well, magazine worthy (side note: the Martins home WAS completely magazine worthy). ![]() Having just moved back into their neighborhood after over half a year of being displaced, they were worried that their lack of furnishings and not-yet-homey home wouldn't photograph well. Clint, Stephanie, and Ann Marie were one of the many who lost nearly everything due to Hurricane Harvey. I was honored to be chosen by them once again as their Houston newborn photographer as they welcomed little Elise earthside.Īs a Houston newborn photographer, there are few things closer to my heart than a welcoming mid century home, a perfectly put together nursery, and a meant to be modern sitting chair just waiting to be graced by a brand new baby. They were a dream to photograph and still have one of my go-to outdoor galleries. I met Stephanie and Clint around a year ago when I had the privilege of photographing their soon to be family of four during my Holiday Mini Sessions. I know I say this almost every blog post, but this really IS one of my favorite newborn lifestyle sessions EVER! Being a family photographer here in Houston means I get to grow with my clients.
